Thank you for discovering Lifetime Images venue review section! We put this together because over the years we've had many people ask us about wedding venues. We've been fortunate enough to see hundreds and hundreds of Southern California venues over the last eleven years. More importantly we've seen them in action. It's hard to gauge a wedding venue by visiting it on a Tuesday afternoon in the middle of winter. Can you visualize a large empty room with tables, linens, with 150 to 200 people in the middle of summer?
Worse yet, when you visit the very nice people in sales and catering, they speak glowingly about their venue. Come to think of it, the last gal you saw at the last venue you visited spoke glowingly about her venue, as will the sales director of the next venue you will visit. Having seen nearly 100 wedding venue websites in general they tend to be very light on information, more or less good photos of the property. Often times, the only way to find out about a place is to go to them, and see one after another.
Most of the brides we deal with are too busy to set up appointments with and visit venue after venue. It's not too uncommon for a bride to settle for a venue because it works within her budget, the date is available and she feels pressure to book quickly or lose her date. This happens all the time, and it's sad when your dream wedding day turns into an endless series of compromises.
Our goal is very simple. We aren't associated with any of these venues. They haven't given us anything or paid us anything, so therefore we can talk freely about them. It's not in our interest to push one property over the other, and talk you out of any churches or reception sites. Another point that is very important, we've haven't yet found the perfect wedding venue. Every place has its pluses and minuses. However, there are some venues that have far more minuses than pluses. Instead of calling them out on this website we instead won't even talk about them.
This isn't our bully pulpit and we have no ax to grind. We feel that it's pointless to introduce you to places that you shouldn't go, especially when your time is valuable. Each place we list on the reviews has some redeeming qualities that makes them noteworthy. What we are trying to do is help you with your leg work on finding a reception site. Perhaps you've already found the perfect site and you may be wondering if we've been there before and what we have to say about it. If you have friends who are newly engaged who are seeking out a reception site or church, please pass this site along.
One thing that needs to be mentioned is that we attend these venues we are there to photograph the bridal couple more so than the venue. So forgive us if we don't have comprehensive images of all the sites. As we make our way back to some of these venues we will update the images and take more comprehensive images of the grounds. Also, we will show images that tend to be images that we wouldn't normally show. We aren't trying to pick the best, and most artistic images for these sites, we are just trying to show you images that will help give you a flavor for the venue. This is what's neat about what we are doing, by showing consistent photography mainly from one photographer you can get a pretty good idea simply by looking at the images and reading the reviews how the places compare to each other. Hopefully you can pick a few places that capture your attention and go see them in person.
If your venue isn't listed, don't worry. We've been to more venues than we have listed. We are still writing reviews and more are being added every week. We have only gone back two years to display these venues. Over time we will go back further into our archives as well as add new venues as we go to them. One other thing we are trying to do is help you find sites you may not have run across in your research. Two things that are very important to us is first if the information that we present is accurate. We will fix inaccurate information quickly. Secondly, if you found this information useful, or if you have ideas you would like to share. Either way, we appreciate you letting us know by dropping us a quick message.
Even after all the site listings on here you don't find the site you are looking for, hopefully you will get some better ideas of what is out there and spending some time on this website will help you figure out what would work best for you. There are so many different venues, so many different possibilities, and regardless if you believe it or not, most of the people at these sites do care about their clients and want them to have the best wedding day possible. We hope we've given you some good ideas, and check out these outstanding Southern California Wedding Locations.
