Hacienda Golf Club is a member owned,
private club established in 1920. |
|
In 2005, The Club went through a major
renovation. John Harbottle, whose other works include Los
Angeles C.C, Hillcrest C.C, Big Canyon C.C and San Gabriel
C.C, renovated the golf course. With the complete rebuilding
of an elegant clubhouse that has spectacular views of the
Los Angeles basin and beyond, Hacienda Golf Club offers one
of the finest golfing, social and dining experiences in
Southern California. |

This venue is a country club. There is a difference between golf courses and country clubs. Most country clubs have golf courses, and they sell memberships to belong to the club. Memberships can range in price between tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars, and there are usually monthly fees as well. With all of this in mind, country clubs tend to be cleaner, more upscale, and more pristine than golf courses open to the public as they have less visitors. The good news is that country clubs tend to be a perfect place to have a more upscale wedding. The bad news is that at some places you will to know a member in order to host your wedding at the venue. Also, this is very important, the golfers aren't just golfers , they literally own the place. Therefore if you have slightest indication that your guests can get rowdy, a country club would not be a good place to host your reception. The members can get quite upset if they find people misbehaving on their property.
The Hacienda Golf Club is one of the most pristine, pretty country clubs around. The grounds are immaculate! The clubhouse is very clean, and very nice. Your guests will be impressed by this place. If you are looking for a place that will show equally well from the moment the first impression to the last, this is the place!
Photographic PotentialWhat I like best about this place is that you can select an angle with trees and hills as the background. Its may sound strange but there are so many places that have oil rigs, power lines, homes, cars, or other things in the background. I prefer as simple and uncluttered background as possible. The trees and hills are so far back that we can easily make portraits with these backgrounds completely out of focus, thus calling more attention to the subject.
When you check with the maximum occupancy, do not push your guest list to the limit for this place as seating will get tighter. Though it's close to many places in North Orange County, finding this place may be tricky. You may want to make a really great map and have someone who isn't associated with the wedding take phone calls for people who may have difficulty finding this place. Also keep in mind that since this place is inland, it can get quite warm on the hot summer days.

This is a lovely place to host your wedding reception. I'm not certain if they can do wedding ceremonies at the same facility. If you are shopping around for wedding reception locations, check this place out. It may not be as busy as some of the more well known Orange County Venues. Therefore, they may have your date available.
