As we mentioned before, many golf course have these banquet rooms that looked like they were built somewhere between in the 1950's or 1960's. It's almost like they didn't get the memo that it's time to update. Anaheim Hills Golf Course used to be this run of the mill golf course reception site. If they were booked, not to worry, there were a few dozen more golf course reception sites that looked just like it within driving distance.
But then, the remodel happened! Here's how the remodel worked, they kept a few trees out front and replaced everything else. Wow, very impressive! They really did a great job, and this is important because nice clean, upscale golf courses are hard to come by in the first place, and North Orange County needs a few more of them.
The clubhouse is now 30,000 square feet and features a grand ballroom that can hold 350 guests. It's a large room, it's a lovely room, the architecture of the outside of the building is also clean and modern without looking too trendy.
This place would appeal for someone who basically wants a hotel wedding, but isn't opposed to a golf course wedding, if it's in a nice place. It's a super clean, attractive venue, your guests will be impressed, and the location is perfect for bridal couples who have family spread out between Los Angeles and San Diego. Because it's inland it will see more sunny days each year than those venues closer to the ocean. Yet, it isn't in the Inland Empire so it's a little cooler than an the IE.
The grounds are nice, the front of the building is nice, the room is nice, what more could you possibly ask for? That being said, there are some parts of the property that photograph better then others. They aren't immediately obvious and a photographer does have to know his/her way around. This isn't a a good property for a novice photographer.
Notice the word "Hills" in Anaheim Hills. The reception site is located on top of a hill. Therefore it has limited locations to use, and of course it has a great view of the sky, which is perfect at sunset. In the distance there are high voltage wire running along the horizon on large utility poles.
The food was great, the room was great, the service was great, the people who work in banquets were very accommodating. If you are looking for a "nice" golf course, this is a great place!

The large, new grand ballroom is excellent, it rates along with some of the nicest hotels around.

The album for this bridal couple is done. We purposely left in the the large power line towers in the silhouette picture to show what we are talking about as a possible distraction. Yet, in her final album, we took all of them out with the magic of Photoshop. This was a service that was included free of charge. In the picture below of the grass, we repainted the grass to get rid of the brown dead spots.
