We understand that there are a lot of choices out there when it comes to wedding photography. Some are very well qualified and others are looking for their first wedding to photograph. So, why choose us? We'll work harder than anybody else for you. We will LISTEN to you and find out what you are looking for in your wedding photography. Then we will make sure it happens on your wedding day. We will bring more and better equipment than our competition will. We will go over and above to make sure your wedding images are safe from the moment we take them to long term storage. We will make it abundantly clear that you are important to us and your wedding day is treated with the respect it deserves. Speaking of respect we'll go over and above to make sure that you, your family and guests have nothing but positive interactions with us. We'll be respectful of your time because you want to spend as much of it with family and friends and not your wedding photographer. Another thing that is crucial is that we are insured. This means that any possible issue or problem pertaining to wedding photography or the actions of a wedding photographer means that you will never have to worry being financially 'on the hook' with us. Many wedding photographers are not insured, and thus you do run the risk of being named in a lawsuit if issues of personal injury, property damage or auto accidents occur. On those rare times that things go wrong with wedding photographers they go horribly wrong.
Most importantly we'll go over and above with our wedding photography to make sure you look your personal best. We are going to throw all of our skills and talents at your wedding so that you have some simply amazing images. When you get your album you'll be so very happy with the results and the entire experience. You'll have memories of a lifetime!
We were one of the first wedding photographers to blog back in the late 1990's. We would take a handful of our images and scan the proofs and then write funny little stories about various weddings. So, we were among the very first to do what most other wedding photographers do today. Today it's a lot easier with much better tools and images already in the digital format. One of the things we did starting around 2005 was to start talking about the wedding venues we visited. The first one we wrote about was a place called Occasions at Laguna Village. The site is wonderful, the staff is as well. They did have one problem around this time. The former catering company at this site went bankrupt and kept the deposits for future weddings. People were left without a venue and were out large sums of money (sometimes in the tens of thousands of dollars). For the past decade the good people at Occasions at Laguna Village have been running a great venue without a problem. It was our familiarity with the venues over the years that helped us pick the good venues from the run of the mill ones.
Our Wedding Venue Reviews expanded to include other venues. Our Disneyland Hotel Review became very popular as did our reviews of places we liked such as the Turnip Rose (they link to it on their website) and the Pine Rose Cabins who thanked us on their Facebook page. Now we're quickly adding to the Wedding Venue Review section. Over the past couple of years we've been to exciting venues and have some great images to show of them. We've also found some very out of the way venues, places that simply don't have enough visibility on the internet. Currently we have enough content to take us past the 100 venues we want to feature on this website. There are new reviews for The Grand in Long Beach and The Reef also in Long Beach.
A question arises, how to do we pick the venues we write about? The answer we give you is exactly the same one we give the venues when they ask to be added. The venues do like being featured as word of mouth is the best source of new business. Some of our venue reviews tend to get seen between 2000-3000 times a year. We do not charge the venues for being featured. What we have to do is see the venues in action, and they have to impress us. There is one venue that we've been asked about a few times. They actually changed the agenda and the coordinator yelled at the bride and groom There is no excuse for this. So no, it's not featured. The bride was beautiful, the place was lovely, the venue sucked!
Some of the reviews are getting a bit older, and we simply haven't been back to the venue. Some we've been to many times over the past few years. So now we think of venues in terms of relevance. If we haven't seen a venue in many years how relevant is the information if the review is over five years old? If our client base isn't selecting the venue for their wedding should it have the same status as venues we've been to over the past few years? Venues do go in and out of popularity with time. The ones that our clients select are the ones that are most relevant in our minds. Thus the "Certified Fresh" venue reviews denotes the newest reviews. The "In The Zone" are recent reviews, but not the newest. The "Golden Oldies" are much older reviews and the "In Transition" are reviews about venues that we see value in but cannot enthusiastically recommend at this time.
If you've found a nice wedding venue then we've always got photography to talk to you about. If you have a friend who is recently engaged please let them know about the reviews.
